About this event

  • 2 hours

Join us this year for Revival Walks through Tacony Creek Park in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia where we will honor the sun, wind, trees, birds and nature. Mama Carla will share stories illuminating our place in community with one another and with our natural environment.

Originally created by dance artist / activist Lela Aisha Jones during the height of the pandemic, the Revival Walks brought healing, solace and joy to participants, as facilitators lifted up Afro-centric practices in order to rebalance our relationship to the natural world.

Each Revival Walk will also be joined by a special guest from the community. Participants will also assist in removing trash along the way as an act of reciprocity to this important natural space.
