ReversaL: A Public Forum on The Partial Shutdown of The L-Train
Date and time
Description
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s decision to reverse the looming L-pocalypse shutdown shocked New Yorkers but many straphangers may be surprised to learn that his plan will still affect their commute. While the solution has changed the disruption remains.
On Tuesday, February 19th join URBAN-X, Forum for the Future, mobility experts and representatives from public agencies in the private and public sector as we discuss the future of the L-train and how to reimagine mobility and transportation for cities. Together, we'll unravel how daily commutes are affected, consider new ideas and alternative solutions and ask: "How can we use the shutdown to create and inspire change around sustainable mobility?"
Speakers include:
Greg Lindsay - Moderator - Urbanist in Residence at URBAN-X
Rodrigo Bautista - Principal Change Designer at Forum for the Future
Phil Jones - East Coast Senior Director at Lime
Benjamin Solotaire - Community Organizer, North Brooklyn & Director of Participatory Budgeting for Council Member Stephen Levin
