The Bulgarian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA)is a focal point of private investors, venture capital funds and the entrepreneurial community in Bulgaria. The association works alongside its members to improve the business environment and to drive innovation and growth in the country and the region of Southeast Europe.

DEAR ALL, THE EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS. 
Last November, a community of Bulgarians and supporters of Bulgaria gathered in Boston for the first RE:TURN Boston event. In this follow up networking event on March 18, we seek to capture the great momentum we had last fall. Join us and share your ideas on topics and ways to contribute so we can all be part of creating an engagement platform for our community. Whether you are an entrepreneur, an investor, a student or a professional seeking to expand their network, we want your input to define a program for 2020.  
The gathering is organized by professionals of the Boston diaspora who attended the event, Mariya Filipova and Petia Whitmore, and venture capital funds who participated in the conference - Stephane Ganchev and Georgi Mitov - with the support of the RE:TURN team.  
Meet the hosts: 
Mariya Filipova - leads Anthem’s Innovation function and oversees a network of ecosystem hubs across the country. She also leads a portfolio of initiatives that accelerate Anthem’s transformation into an AI-first company redefining the future of healthcare. Mariya, along with Anthem Digital leadership, created the Health Utility Network, a one-of-a-kind blockchain coalition, the Fast Track to Scale Accelerator, a disruption to traditional accelerator models, and the Digital Data Sandbox, providing access to deidentified data to train algorithms and mine for insights. Her past experience as an entrepreneur and Wall Street analyst has shaped her perspective on transformation in closely regulated industries in Europe and the United States. Mariya previously led Deloitte’s global Future of Work Program Office, a portfolio of investments that use exponential technologies (e.g. blockchain, artificial intelligence) to redefine the way we do and monetize work.   
Petia Whitmore - A graduate management education executive turned entrepreneur, most recently Petia has been at the steering wheel of The MBA Tour - a company that connects aspiring MBA students with business schools at 70+ events around the globe. Previously, she led the graduate recruitment and admissions efforts of Babson College and also spent a couple of years helping scale the enrollment marketing arm of EAB - the US’s leading  higher ed consulting firm.  
Stephane Ganchev - Partner at LAUNCHub Ventures - a leading early stage Venture Capital fund, focusing on seed and Series A round. Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, the fund invests in CEE, as well as in founders originating from that region, based in the biggest startup ecosystems like Silicon Valley, London and other major hubs. Stephane is also co-organizer of DigitalK conference, the biggest startup conference in SEE. Prior to that Stephane started his career in France working for Atos Origin and later on for Orange, France Telecom as Director innovations.
