Organized by

Restoring One's Hope of Atlanta, Inc. (ROHA) is a nonprofit organization that provides food security to the unhoused population in Atlanta, Georgia. Our mission is to restore hope to the hopeless through our hunger relief efforts. Ms. Brittany Johnson is the Founder and Executive Director of the organization. Restoring One’s Hope was founded in 2019 and, to date, has provided over 9,000 free meals and hygiene items to the underserved population in The City of Atlanta. We currently have two programs Feed the Hungry where we prepare and distribute care packages within the community and the Community Fair where we provide hot meals, showers, haircuts, clothes, and linkage to services once a month. We have increased their efforts from serving once a month to serving on a weekly basis. Our economic impact since 2019 in the Atlanta area is approximately $80,000.00 through monetary and in-kind donations. Some of our corporate sponsors or contributors are Ebenezer Baptist Church, Chick-fil-a, Kroger, Walmart, Publix, Pepsi, State Farm, Atlanta Dream, McKesson, and much more. We are working diligently to increase our impact to provide additional meals, clothes, hygiene items, and linkage to resources to those in need.

2021 was a great year despite the pandemic. We have sustained our partnership with Hope United in distributing over 3,000 meals in the community. We were afforded the opportunity to expand our efforts to South Carolina, Alabama, Ethiopia, and Brazil. We partnered with various organizations to increase our footprint in the community. We received a grant from Kroger and $5,000 worth of donations from corporations. We also partnered with The Mission Continues to distribute food boxes to veterans and clean up an inner-city school.

In 2022, Restoring One’s Hope formed a partnership with the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church to provide food, hygiene items, clothes, haircuts, showers, and linkage to services to the unhoused population. We distribute 100 care packages each week that contain food and hygiene items. We also started a program called The Community Fair where we have service providers table at the event as we feed, cloth, and provide showers and haircuts to the unhoused population.

As we continue the work, the needs have increased because the pandemic has affected so many people in different ways. We realized the most vulnerable in our communities are suffering through shelter closures and resource scarcity. We are working diligently to provide meals and linkage to resources to those in need. Our goal is to increase our community impact each year through food, hygiene kits, and case management services.
