In this slow-paced, easily-accessible class, you will be led through basic yoga poses that help open, balance, strengthen, and bring calm to your body. Props and modifications will be offered that support you in doing what you can in every pose.

This is a gentle class, and the intention is to bring peacefulness and restoration everywhere within your body with breath, easy movement and focused calm. This class will include a musician playing quietly with our sound healing instruments to add the soothing effects of sound healing.

About the teacher Rona Spears:

As a teacher and a Student, I love how Yoga helps calm the mind and builds the body, while working to create a mind-body link that goes far beyond our mat.

My job as a Yoga Instructor to take what I know and give it to you in a way that works for you and the uniqueness of your body. I believe that your Yoga practice should help you appreciate how unique and wonderful your body is.

I don't believe that Instagram represents what yoga is actually about or what it looks like in most bodies.

I am a 500 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I am certified in CPR & AED. I also have a Masters in Library & Information Science, which helps me break out the research so I can build the best class for you as I possibly can.

About the musician Emersen Lorenz:

Emersen Lorenz is a sound enthusiast who seeks to aid in the awakening of the mind-body-soul connection in others. His first voyage into the realm of sound healing began with the primordial vibrations of the didgeridoo and he continues to hone and expand his craft within the eclectic world of healing instruments.
