About this event

  • 2 days 2 hours

Relationship building is the foundation of Restorative Practices, creating a culture of respect where everyone can feel that they belong and thrive. A restorative classroom creates trust and connection amongst students and between the students and teacher, leading to a more productive and harmonious learning environment. When students feel safe and connected, teamwork and cooperation increase and conflicts are easier to resolve when they arise.

This three-day (6 hour) Restorative Practices training will provide tools for implementing and strengthening Restorative Practices in your classroom and creating a restorative classroom community.

We will focus on:

  • Using tools and strategies for community and relationship-building
  • Establishing clear expectations and setting students up for success
  • Establishing and using classroom norms
  • Using restorative questions and affective language for responding to behavior
  • Using circles as a way to respond to class-wide conflict and/or harm.

Dates & Times: August 13, 14, 15. 10:00am-12:00pm EST.

Where: Online, via Zoom.
