About this event

Join the RESTFUL Moai – A 10-Week Journey to Health and Longevity

The RESTFUL Moai is a 10-week small-group experience designed to explore the connection between faith, community, and well-being. In partnership with Bakersfield Seventh-Day Adventist Churches and the Blue Zones Project, this Moai will dive into holistic health through the acronym RESTFUL, with each session focusing on a key aspect of wellness:

Rest – Managing stress and prioritizing restorative sleep (Downshift)

Exercise – Incorporating natural movement into daily life (Move Naturally)

Sunlight & Service – The benefits of outdoor activity and giving back (Purpose, Right Tribe)

Trust – Strengthening faith and emotional resilience (Purpose, Downshift)

Temperance – Practicing moderation and balance in all aspects of life (Downshift)

Food – Nourishing the body with plant-based, whole foods (Plant Slant, 80% Rule)

Unpolluted – Creating a clean environment for the body, mind, and spirit (Downshift, Right Tribe)

Liquids – Staying hydrated and maintaining overall health (Move Naturally, Plant Slant)

Each week will include discussions, group activities, and practical applications that align with the Blue Zones Power 9 Principles, helping participants build sustainable habits for a longer, healthier life.
