The Tampa Bay Health and Medical Preparedness Coalition is a group of healthcare organizations, public safety and public health partners that join forces for the common cause of making their communities safer, healthier and more resilient. Coalitions have formed across the United States to support their communities before, during and after disasters and other crises.The Tampa Bay Health and Medical Preparedness Coalition brings together competing organizations to build capabilities that can’t be achieved alone. We strive to meet the emergency preparedness needs of more than 5,000 healthcare organizations and 100,000 healthcare workers.The Tampa Bay Health and Medical Preparedness Coalition encompasses the following counties:Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter Counties.Our efforts benefit the patients, providers, and partners of the healthcare delivery system in the Greater Tampa Bay area. Tampa Bay Health & Medical Preparedness Coalition

This course is designed to assist healthcare organizations with development and strengthening  of their respiratory protection programs.

*** Note that the location is still TBD due to AV updates taking place at our previous planned location.***In this course, we will review the OSHA standards and the requirements for a respiratory protection program. The course will include: <ol><li>The different types of respirators, along with their protection factors; </li><li>How to select an appropriate respirator based on the contamination; </li><li>Medical clearance, fit tests, training and program monitoring for compliance. </li><li>A sample plan is included and started during the class. </li></ol>Target Audience: Safety, Infection Control, Employee Health Services, Facilities OR whomever manages your OSHA/Safety/Respiratory Protection Compliance. This course is brought to you by the Tampa Bay Health and Medical Preparedness Coaltion, and will be taught by Code Pinke Crisis Planning.
