Teen dating violence is a pattern of physically, sexually, verbally, and/or emotionally abusive or controlling behavior in a dating relationship. One in three teens in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse. Join us for RespectFest, at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center. Satellite parking will be available at Einstein High School with a free shuttle to Respectfest.This FREE festival, geared towards middle and high school students, parents, educators and youth serving providers, will have activities, games and information about celebrating healthy relationships and on dating violence prevention and where someone can go to get help. The festival is being emceed by Alex from the MoCo Show / MoCo Snow, and there will be performances, free food, raffles, free yoga and self-defense demos, and students can earn SSL hours for attending. The winners of the annual video contest will also be announced! RespectFest is sponsored by the Montgomery County Government, Montgomery County Recreation, Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery County Parks and the Montgomery County Family Justice Center Foundation. A person attending RespectFest who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer, and/or the event organizers, and/or contact RespectFest (600 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 500, Rockville, MD 20852), in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. The DVCC will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.

 By attending and participating in RespectFest or by failing to notify the DVCC, in writing, your desire to not have your photograph used by the DVCC, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify the DVCC from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.

 Any person or organization not affiliated with the DVCC may not use, copy, alter or modify the DVCC's photographs, graphics, videography or other, similar reproductions or recordings without the advance written permission of an authorized designee from the DVCC.
