Join the UC Alumni Chorus as we sing beautiful and varied music for choir and string orchestra, featuring Circadian String Quartet and friends. Our concert will feature Mozart's beloved Ave verum corpus, Beethoven's grand Elegischer Gesang, and Rosephanye Powell's moving With What Shall I Come. We will also perform two works by San Francisco Conservatory's chair of composition, David Conte – his setting of the great Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes' poem I Dream a World, and his reverent September Sun, composed in memory of those who died in the September 11th attacks. September Sun will be sung in collaboration with members of Sacred and Profane Chamber Chorus.
