Residential Code Compliance

The mission of the DCRA Green Building Division is to support the District of Columbia’s vision of a sustainable city by developing and administering green building policies.  We directly engage the building industry to cultivate a more livable, healthy, and efficient built environment for all.DCRA protects the health, safety, economic interests, and quality of life of residents, businesses and visitors in the District of Columbia by issuing licenses and permits, conducting inspections, enforcing building, housing and safety codes, regulating land use and development, and providing consumer education and advocacy services.

DCRA Green Building Divison

<P>The Residential Code Compliance Workshop is designed for residential building permit applicants who currently have a set plans in plan review are pending or have already received “energy review” comments.  At the workshop, DCRA’s residential energy code reviewers will be on hand to address plans that have been held for comments. Applicants will be explained the comments and have the opportunity to address your specific comments on the spot for expedited plan approval. The key is to bring your plans and comments.  </P>
