This workshop will address ethical considerations for external researchers working with Indigenous communities and provide an overview of different types of collaborations, including the research permitting protocols required by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.---Information provided to and collected by Eventbrite, a self-service ticketing platform, is neither maintained by the Florida International University, nor an education record as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), sections 1002.225 and 1006.52, Florida Statutes, and Regulation FIU-108. While a student may voluntarily elect to provide their University email address to Eventbrite to register or login, there is no requirement to do so. Students who do not wish to disclose their University email address, should instead elect to use their personal email address. Please note that electing to provide your University email address to Eventbrite does not confer FERPA protection to the email address or any accompanying identifiable information that is provided.---Should you need an ADA accommodation to participate in a University event, program, or activity or need to request materials in an accessible format, please contact FIU's Office of Civil Rights (OCR) at 305-348-2785 or accommodations@fiu.edu. All requests for ADA accommodation or accessible materials for this event must be submitted to OCR at least seven (7) business days prior to the event or at the earliest possible opportunity.
