Reno-Viticulture Workshop

University of Nevada, Reno Extension

This workshop will be instructed by Dr. Grant Cramer, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno. The program will guide students through the entire viticultural process including cultivar and site selection, vineyard layout, viticultural practices, budgets, and pest management. Grant Cramer has been growing vines and producing high-quality wine at the UNR valley road vineyard for over 20 years. He is an expert in the unique climactic environment we experience in Nevada and has developed many special viticultural techniques that can help you establish a world-class vineyard. This course is ideal for both the backyard vintner and the aspiring major producer.
