Event description
REMOXIFY: an inspirational wellness escape for mamas with moxie

About this Event

moxie: a noun with multiple definitions including energy, pep, courage, determination and know-how.

All mamas have moxie but sometimes it feels buried and impossible to tap into. Join MotherNation and RenewRechargeReflect to remoxify your mindset.

REMOXIFY is a half-day retreat including yoga, a soundbath meditation, lunch, conversation and optional acupuncture that will provide what you need to reclaim your moxie- whether it's a boost of energy or confidence or just some time away to reconnect with what makes you hold your head high.

In the creatively electrifying environment of the IA&A at Hillyer art gallery, allow yourself to enjoy:

  • Relaxing yet challenging power yoga with Leigh Grimes. All levels welcome; prenatal and postpartum modifications to be provided.
  • Thought-provoking conversation with your fellow mamas over a healthy lunch from Glen's Garden Market and juice from JRINK. Share what you love about yourself and what you are striving for. Support each other to help that mama moxie shine bright.
  • Soundbath Meditation with Artis Moon Amarché. Just be.
  • Optional Community Acupuncture with Adam Miramon. Available as a perfect add-on to release blockages and rebalance your body. The 20-minute treatment is customized to your needs and appropriate for new and seasoned acupuncture patients.

See below for more information regarding the stellar practitioners who will be gathered to serve you.

This event is designed for pregnant women and mamas, but all are welcome.

Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and any extra props that will enhance your experience. Free street parking, please do not park in the private parking lot in front of gallery.

Leigh Grimes found yoga after a spinal injury that kept her down for almost a year. When she began her yoga journey, she didn't like yoga at all. She was healing, frustrated, and couldn't touch her toes. After a few weeks of continuing to show up on the mat, something clicked and she became obsessed. Her entire life had changed after the injury and finding this practice, she quit her job, and began on a new path of wellness. Leigh teaches class at Eaton Wellness and Down Dog Yoga studios.

Artis Moon Amarché is founder of the Boundless Eclectic integrating her role as healer, musician, dancer, and artist, with various traditional meditation practices. Artis' healing arts offerings include an eclectic, complementary mix of Reiki training, Yoga Nidra, sound healing and sound baths. She teaches classes at Take Five Meditation and offers personal classes and workshops.

Adam Miramon was first drawn to acupuncture through the benefits they experienced as a patient, and their appreciation of the practice has only deepened since. Adam loves the fact that their work allows them to help people reduce pain, recover from disease, improve their quality of life, and optimize their sense of well being. They have a passion for women’s health and are well versed in many gynecological issues, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menopause, menstrual irregularity, pregnancy, and infertility. Adam’s approach is holistic; they evaluate both surface symptoms and possible root causes. By looking beyond isolated aspects of a person’s health and seeing how their symptoms fit together as a whole, Adam helps patients achieve sustained wellness. Adam is the founder and owner of Uptown Acupuncture LLC.
