"Remindfulness" Practices - Realization vs. Speculation

An invitation to acknowledge and understand the importance of mindfulness and meditation practice &amp; CARE with Leigh Ann Mertens. We will be practicing mindfulness techniques together through movement, meditation and conversation. 
Leigh Ann implemented the tag line &quot;Realization vs. Speculation&quot; because these days there is so much literature, videos, and audios available on the topic of mindfulness that it seems we are almost bombarded with information. The availability and accessibility of this information is wonderful, and it&#x27;s the experience of mindfulness that matters. 

A deep sense of care is what the world needs collectively right now as well as each of us as individuals - both self-imposed care as well as the recognition of an innate generosity that, when awakened or remembered, offers a safe place for all those in our lives to land. For this workshop, Leigh Ann has turned the word CARE into an acronym: 
C = Contemplate
A = Activate
R = Realize
E = Equalize

Our time together will be broken down into 4, 90-minute sessions during which we will be exploring these words (or concepts) with movement, meditation and conversations. 
This course is being offered by Leigh Ann Mertens who is a student in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program conducted by Tara Brach, PhD and Jack Kornfield, PhD, and the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley. Leigh Ann E-RYT 500, YACEP, RYS 200, RYS 300, has been teaching yoga for over 22 years and welcomes this opportunity to connect with you in this way!
