About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Are you ready to finally shed the weight of everyone else’s expectations and reclaim the joy that’s rightfully yours? Join us for an intimate and transformative experience at "Release + Replenish," where we’ll embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and intentional joy.

This sacred space is for Black women professionals, 40+, who are ready to lean into their joy and release the burdens that no longer serve their growth. You’ve spent your life being the rock for everyone else—now it’s time to show up as your WHOLE A$$ SELF and prioritize your own well-being.

Jamila Weathers is your hostess (with the mostest) and guide for the day. As the Chief Enrichment Officer of Hazelbrook Consulting and founder of the Win Some, W(h)ine Some community, I specialize in guiding Black women professionals on their journeys to build legacy from their passions. I provide strategy, accountability, and time management for entrepreneurs, creating safe spaces for these women to embrace their authentic selves. I am the plug to the professional Black woman's social outlet, ensuring you have the support and community you need to thrive.

Joining me is the incredible Ashley Kansinally (LCSW-C, RYT 350), a mental health therapist and yoga instructor, and owner of Blossom and Grow Wellness Center. Ashley has dedicated her therapy work to focusing on perinatal mood disorders (including postpartum depression and anxiety) and is committed to working intentionally with Black women. She understands the stigmas that exist, making it difficult for us to access and feel comfortable receiving care. Her compassionate approach aims to break down these barriers and provide a safe, nurturing space for healing and growth.

Why This Series is Essential - Our bodies hold the stories of our lives, the traumas, and the joys. Somatic yoga is a transformative practice that helps us release the trauma trapped in our bodies. It’s time to let go of the past and the pain that no longer serves us. Through somatic yoga, we can connect deeply with our physical selves, allowing us to release the old and make space for the new.

    What to Expect

    • Group Discussion: Dive deep into our shared experiences and discover the power of releasing the past to make way for a joyful future.
    • Somatic Yoga Session: A 45-minute session led by Ashley to help us physically and emotionally release trauma, followed by techniques to replenish our spirits.
    • Refreshments: Enjoy light refreshments as we continue to connect and celebrate our journey towards intentional joy.

This event is designed for the maverick Black woman who is ready to stop giving AF about the things that no longer align with her growth. You’ve carried the weight of the world long enough—now it’s time to let go and embrace the joy that awaits you.

Spaces are limited to just 10 guests, ensuring an intimate and supportive environment. Don’t miss this opportunity to realign with yourself and step into a life filled with intentional joy.
