Regularly Scheduled Old Time Jam at the 210 Gallery and Art Center

We are starting a regular fiddle tune jam featuring Appalachian (Southern) old time, maybe a little bluegrass, maybe a little bit of Irish and Scottish music. It will get together on a regular basis (once a month? twice a month? Not sure yet).

Primary learning method will be by ear but sheet music will be provided.

We are teaching jam etiquette—how each instrument and part fits together.

We are experiencing organic ensemble playing.

We are teaching jam skills and tunes that can be played all over the US and the world.

We are leading up to being able to play for a square dance by the end of our time

We are starting a jam that will continue as long as people keep coming

Any age and any skill level are welcome!
