About this event

Regenerative Culture Retreat – Summer 2024

The Regenerative Culture Journey is about paradigm shift and transforming our culture. This means transforming our relationship with our nonhuman kin. How do we become good relatives again? How can our actions create conditions for life to flourish? What can our nonhuman kin - plants, animals, soil, and land - teach us about living in the world?

Event Highlights:

  • Guided Insights: Drawing wisdom from Indigenous peoples, scientific knowledge, and personal experiences, we will embrace regenerative principles and kincentric ecology as the foundation for this transformative journey.

  • Key Concepts: Concepts of regenerating land and water, habitat expansion, and the wisdom of plants and animals will be thoughtfully explored.

  • Practical Applications: You'll discover practices to integrate this cultural shift into your daily life, fostering a deeper relationship with the world around you.

  • Engaging Activities: The retreat includes small group activities, music, poetry, land walks, and time for personal reflection.

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: July 20, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Location: The Acreage in Osceola, a magnificent 360-acre expanse of woodland and prairie habitat overlooking the St. Croix River in western Wisconsin—a land cherished and nurtured by countless generations.

Host: Land Song, a growing collaborative dedicated to land-based work and re-indigenizing our patterns and relationships with the world. Founding member Paula Westmoreland and Lindsay Rebhan will be the main teachers for this retreat. Visit our website at www.landsong.land to learn more.
