About this event

  • 4 hours

Despite the current job market, we’re all doing our best and that should be celebrated. It is more critical than ever to set aside time to take care of yourself. That’s why we’re hosting Re:fresh, an in person series of workshops.

Take a break from your routine to discover how you can boost your mental health and practice activities that promote your well being. This event features sessions from three speakers who will share resources for regulating emotions and bodily functions to handle stress effectively, resting and healing from information overload, and being proactive in self care practices.

Come along, chill out, and broaden your toolkit for managing your own wellness to support your daily life balance and productivity on your teams.

Lunch provided!

Code of Conduct

The Quick Version

Our events and online spaces are dedicated to providing a peaceful experience for everyone, regardless of gender and gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion (or lack thereof). We promote a culture of peace and belonging — with your help, do our best to promote safe spaces for ALL. You are invited to keep sexual language and imagery to yourself. Participants violating these boundaries may be sanctioned or expelled at the discretion of event/space organizers.

Keep weapons (regardless of kind) and drugs at your own home or personal events.

The Less Quick Version

Zai Duck is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming experience for everyone. If you are having issues with promoting or creating a safe environment, please work with a therapist prior to considering attending our events. This code of conduct applies to all Zai Duck spaces both online and off. We are strong believers of personal boundaries and respectful interactions. Anyone who violates this code of conduct may be sanctioned or expelled from these spaces at the discretion of Zai Duck.

Some Zai Duck spaces may have additional boundary requirements in place, which will be made clearly available to participants. Participants are responsible for knowing and abiding by these healthy boundaries.

Safe interaction practices include:

  • Consent-based and welcomed comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion.
  • Consent-based and welcomed comments regarding a person's lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment.
  • Use of accepted gender and active names.
  • Physical contact and simulated physical contact (eg, textual descriptions like "hug" or "backrub") only after consent.
  • Promotion of peace and respectful boundaries.
  • Encouraging others to be kind to themselves.
  • Being kind to yourself.
  • Mindful discussions.
  • Tending to your own personal space (physically, mentally, and emotionally) unless verbally invited to someone else’s personal space and location habits.
  • Consent based photography or recording.
  • Empathetic and patient listening during discussion.
  • Consent based intimate interactions, including behavior, images, cadence, and quality.
  • Consent based communication patterns including frequency, topic, and privacy.
  • Respecting a person's identity unless disclosure immediately fosters protection.
  • Speaking in a way where others love to listen to you

Zai Duck prioritizes marginalized people's safety over privileged people's comfort and therefore we will not act on complaints regarding:

  • 'Reverse' -isms, including 'reverse racism,' 'reverse sexism,' and 'cisphobia'.
  • Reasonable communication of boundaries, such as "leave me alone," "go away," or "I'm not discussing this with you".
  • Communicating in a 'tone' you don't find congenial.
  • Criticizing racist, sexist, cissexist, or otherwise oppressive behavior or assumptions.
