Resolve Philadelphia is excited to announce the launch of our latest initiative.

With Reframe, we aim to help journalists improve the accuracy and authenticity of their coverage of mis- and under-represented individuals and communities and thus build trust with their audiences through precise, human-centered language.

We’re developing a set of tools and resources that will help newsrooms use more accurate, inclusive language to describe their communities throughout the editorial process. We’re working with journalists, community leaders, educators, and industry thought leaders to create tools that will work for everyday journalists.

And we’re inviting YOU to be part of it all. Join us for a live online information session Tuesday, July 30 at 1 p.m. ET to find out all about this exciting new project.

Who is it for?

Any journalist, educator, researcher, media maker, or supporter interested in language, ethics, and improving trust in media. (Work in Philadelphia? You can join us in person in Center City and meet other folks interested in this work. Email Project Editor Aubrey Nagle at for details.)

What will I learn?

You’ll find out straight from the Resolve team how this initiative came to be, what research and theories are informing this work, who is involved, and where we’re going next. And yes, there will be time for questions!

How can I learn more?
