About this event

Thematic Reviews are a tool used by Safeguarding Children's Partnerships to develop an overview of challenges to practice within specific groups of children. They enable practitioners to understand themes relevant to their practice and can allow individuals to adapt to pratice challenges. As Social Workers we need to ensure that we consider how developments in policy and practice influence our decision making.

This event is limited to 10 attendees at a time to enable everyone who attends to participate and contribute to the reflective discussion and explore how the lessons from the national review impact your own practice.

To maintain registration as a Social Worker in England, Social Work England stipulate that Social Workers must:

"record a minimum of 2 different pieces of CPD.

You must include a peer reflection with at least one of these pieces of CPD. Record what you have learnt from discussing your CPD with a peer."

This event is designed to enable Social Workers to meet the reauirement for their CPD to include one piece of CPD which includes peer discussion.

Attendees will recieve a certificate of attendance which can be used to evidence that you have participated in a peer discussion about your learning in relation to the use of thematic reviews within children's safeguarding practice.
