A Juneteenth group discussion based on the understanding of the event and how it affects our lives today.
In honor of Juneteenth, we take a look inward through thoughtful questions allowing us to engage with Juneteenth beyond historical facts.
This day holds deep roots for numerous Americans as a symbol of liberty, resilience, setting the pace for continuing the drive toward equality. As we honor in celebration this important day, taking time for personal reflection can bring a deeper understanding and connection to its values and meaning. Our reflections allow space for personal growth, cultural understanding and appreciation, and to help establish a commitment to building a more balanced future. Juneteenth is as a powerful marker in the history of America, celebrating the day when the last enslaved people in Texas learned of their freedom on June 19, 1865.
