The walk will include knotting of ropes, poetry, discussion and readings (you can bring your own to contribute) responding to the local area and the sea.Timed entry every 30 minutes from 7.30-10pm, Friday 11 & Saturday 12 October | REFLECT at GraveshamA sound and light event that brings LV21 and the surroundings to life. LV21 (The Red Lightship) & surrounding riverfront, Gravesend, Kent
A weekend of sound, light, music and art exploring the connection between coastal living and wellbeing.
Admission free but some events are ticketed for limited numbers. Tickets will be allocated on first come, fist served basis. Please book early to avoid disappointment. 
Events requiring tickets (FREE but booking is essential): 
11am Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 October | Sea Song Walks with Lucy Farrell Meet at LV21 to join the walk around Gravesend and the riverfront, accompanied by songs of the sea sung by Lucy Farrell. 
3pm Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 October | Let's Take a Moment (with Thread and Word) with Elspeth Penfold Meet at LV21 for a participatory walk along the Promenade. The walk will include knotting of ropes, poetry, discussion and readings (you can bring your own to contribute) responding to the local area and the sea.
These are easy walking routes on flat terrain. Due to the performative nature duration is approximately one hour but the distance is short.
Timed entry every 30 minutes from 7.30-10pm, Friday 11 & Saturday 12 October | REFLECT at Gravesham A sound and light event that brings LV21 and the surroundings to life. Experience acclaimed artist Ulf Pedersen's new work Karma Seas and below deck, discover an intimate gig of songs inspired by the sea from BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Lucy Farrell and a new soundscape States of Immersion by Kent artist Tania Holland Williams plus listen to natural sounds of Ocean 404 with Alex Smalley.
 
All events are suitable for all ages but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Accompanying walks follow easy town centre routes and public footpaths along the riverfront.  Please note that for events aboard the historic lightship LV21 access is limited with steep staircases and narrow passageways. Please wear flat, non-slip shoes.
