We will host our 2024 family reunion at the Sheraton Pentagon City in Arlington, VA. This location will put attendees within walking distance or a short ride to restaurants, museums, and downtown DC. Our reunion will begin on Friday evening with a catered welcome mixer. On Saturday, in lieu of a picnic, a charter bus will take the family to the National Museum of African American Culture. The NMAAHC is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. It was established by an Act of Congress in 2003, following decades of efforts to promote and highlight the contributions of African Americans. Saturday evening will feature a catered seafood boil (There will be vegan and other meal options for those with dietary restrictions). Later that night, there will be optional activities for those who'd like to venture out for a night on the town. The reunion will conclude on Sunday with our prayer brunch.
Adults and children may purchase tickets for the full weekend ($165 for adults; $90 for youth 6-11; children 5 and under are free). Guests arriving late on Friday or on Saturday may purchase Saturday/Sunday tickets ($125 for adults; $60 for youth 6-11; children 5 and under are free). Adult and youth tickets include food and non-alcoholic beverages at the welcome mixer, roundtrip transportation to/from the NMAAHC, access to the NMAAHC, $20 NMAAHC gift card, Saturday evening dinner and non-alcoholic beverages, the prayer brunch and a Reeves, Hitchcock, Norman & Franklin family reunion t-shirt,
