Reentry Resource Fair

The West Virginia Council of Churches is forming Community Reentry Councils across the State of West Virginia to collaborate with partners in addressing key community issues facing the state, counties and local areas and implementing a collaborative reentry approach for ex-offenders unique in its integration of human services and public safety.In participating localities, Councils bring together human services, public safety and other public agencies along with private agencies, non-profits, law enforcement, the courts, businesses, community-based service providers and faith-based organizations to collaborate, in partnership, to start identifying barriers to successful reentry for ex-offenders and key indicators of recidivism.

<P>Reentry simulation to demonstrate challenges and barriers faced by those reentering the community following incarceration. (Note: This portion of the event is first-come-first-serve. There will be two sessions, one at 10am and the second at 1pm).</P>
<P>Resource Fair to provide community services and supports for this population. Space is limited for vendors. (The organizer will be contacting you after registration to verify whether a space is available to provide resources).</P>
