Join industry professionals Mark Pederson and William Donaruma as they take an in-depth look at the very core of any image – exposure. This session will cater to users both beginner and advanced, taking a deeper technical dive into the exposure mistakes and misconceptions many filmmakers make. Topics will include how to best judge exposure using the in-camera tools, exposing for a RAW workflow, understanding the indirect effect LUTs can have exposure, tips and tricks for avoiding the most infamous exposure pitfalls, as well as discussing exposure within both an SDR and HDR mindset.Mark will guide the attendees through the discussion while William will be demonstrating practical examples on a pre-lit stage using a DSMC2 HELIUM feeding directly into the class.This limited seating REDucation Live session is designed to mimic much of the same experience and interaction had during the in-person REDucation programing, but in a virtual space. Attendees will be able to submit their questions throughout the seminar, and a moderator will call on attendees to ask their question live on the air. As REDucation has always been about community as much as education, we recommend everyone in attendance come camera ready for introductions at the start of the class.This two-hour engagement will not count towards the REDucation certificate. Fully immersive REDucation classes will return later this year.
