Lille æske in Danish means “lille box.”This handcrafted arthouse features an intimate venue for visual arts, live music, culinary events, and private space rentals.Nestled in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains, patrons of the space enjoy a unique connectedness while experiencing visual arts by local artists and merchandise from local artisans that they can purchase and take home. On evenings and weekends, the arthouse is filled with live music shows in a wholesome intimate setting.Our mission is to keep arts, music, and culture alive in our community and what a better place than in an eclectic and unique space like lille æske. Red Light Lit is a mashup of live music, storytelling and poetry set to a live score. The performers explore love relationships, sexuality and gender. Featuring musical guest: David Williams and readers Jennifer Lewis, Anil Prajapati and more! David Williams is a musician, songwriter, film composer, singer, teacher, traveler, born in Miami Fla., and currently living in San Francisco. David has contributed to more than 20 albums and recorded 6 of his own. INTRO is a feature film starring David Williams which showcases his stripped bare songs and unusual lifestyle. The film was nominated alongside Scorsese and Herzog for Best International Documentary at the Torino Film Festival in Italy. His songs have also appeared on NPR. David's live performance is dynamic, haunting, and highly original, and he has shared stages with some of the most widely known artists today. Also, a unique and inspiring teacher, David has shared his wide range of expertise with students from all over the country for over 20 years.
