The inaugural year for the Redefining Classics Gathering is June 15, 2024! Our first Gathering will be held at Catholic University! We welcome academics, teachers, school leaders, parents, hobbyists, classicists, classical educators, liberal arts communities and anyone who finds themselves rooted in Ancient Greece, Rome and all of those cultures that intersect there (i.e ancient AFRICA!). The purpose of this yearly gathering is to create community for those of us who believe that the classical tradition (K12 AND higher ed) is for EVERYONE, and are committed to doing what is necessary to make it accessible and welcoming to everyone. We are also committed to engaging in conversations about the diverse communities that have been inspired or influenced by the classical tradition.
