What if I've never planted a tree before?

Accepted Answer

No worries, we'll equip you with the tools you need to get those trees rooted and secure! There will be an onsite planting demonstration the day of the event and volunteers to assist with questions at the various planting sites. You'll do great!

Question 2

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Clothing typical of lawn, gardening or landscaping work.  Recommend are: closed toe shoes/boots, long pants, long sleeve shirts, gloves, bandanas, layered clothing for varied weather conditions, sunblock and insect repellent.

Question 3

Do I need to bring anything?

Accepted Answer

All necessary planting supplies and tools will be provided; however, you may benefit from a pair of work gloves, water bottle/drinking water, hat and/or sunglasses, and any other weather related gear.

Question 4

The idea of digging a giant hole sounds awful. Should I still come?

Accepted Answer

Yes! And we get it. So, thanks to our amazing Public Works team, all holes will be pre-dug. We just need your muscles and motivation to get these sweet trees in the ground and securely planted, mulched, and fenced.
