About this event

Red Corvette is the newest Prince tribute act on the scene, but its members have actually been honing that signature Prince sound for over 15 years and on more than 1000 Prince tribute shows! That sound of Funk mixed with a little Rock and a lot of Pop. The band is tight and, in the words of Prince, “Hits like a jackhammer”! Red Corvette is Mike Lane (music director, keyboardist, lead vocals and back vocals), Tommy T (guitar and back vocals), Wickett (bass and back vocals), Anthony (drums) and Chyna (percussion, lead vocals and back vocals). They’re fronted by the charismatic singer Donny T, whom they met when Donny booked a gig in Las Vegas portraying Prince in Purple Reign: The Prince Tribute Show.

The band plays all of the hit songs, and Donny delivers all of the classic Prince moves, splits, jumps, and spins with style and finesse.Collectively the band has toured around the world several times over backing musical stars like George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, David Letterman, Brownstone, The Deele and many others.Red Corvette is committed to honoring the legacy of Prince and his music and dedicated to slamming every time they hit the stage! You owe it to yourself to take a ride with Red Corvette!

Featuring Emerging Artist, Timothy J. Wilson!

Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Multi-Instrumentalist, these are just a few words that can be used to describe Timothy J. Wilson. This son of a preacher was raised twenty minutes from New York City in White Plains, N.Y. Being so close to the Big Apple, he was afforded the opportunity to perform in many venues all around the city. In late March of 2011, Timothy relocated from NY State to Atlanta, GA. to promote his “Kiss Me” LP, which was released on his very own Tim’elody Records label. Not even in Atlanta for five months, Timothy had already sold 1,000 copies of the Album hand to hand by the end of July. In Atlanta, Timothy has performed at the Apache Café, Urban Grind, Kat’s Café, Centennial Olympic Park, Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, and the Sweet Auburn Spring Fest. In March of 2012, Timothy launched his very own show, “Timothy J. Wilson Live!” at Food for Life Supreme, where his fans/supporters could come and see him perform an hour-long show for free. In April of 2012, Timothy was chosen by music industry veteran Shanti Das (Laface, Arista, Universal Motown) to perform as the “Artist of the Month” at her popular event, “ATL Live on the Park”, which always brings out a host of music industry movers and shakers, professional athletes and celebrities.

Timothy was also a featured performer at the inaugural, Atlanta Street Food Festival
held at Piedmont Park in July of 2012; where he performed for a crowd of over 8,000 people. In
the fall of 2013, Timothy released the “Born to Love” EP, and not long after, the “Born to Love”
music video. In November of 2014, Timothy landed his first major film, playing the role of
Verdine White, the legendary bassist of the band, Earth, Wind, & Fire in the Warner Brothers film, “The Nice Guys”, starring Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. The movie was released on May 20, 2016. In May 2015, Timothy released his third EP “LOVESONGWRITER”, which landed him a feature post on the well-known Afropunk blog. In November of that same year he released his fourth EP, “BEATS, BASS, PARTY” which landed him a feature on Singersroom.com. In June of 2018, Timothy released a sexy new single entitled, “How ‘Bout We Make Love”. The Music Video was released in August of that year, and with help from a video promotion campaign with Hip Video, to date it has reached over 20 million homes across North America. As the pandemic rocked our world, Timothy found solace in spending time recording a brand new album and shortly after achieved 21 million Streams of his music over in China! In 2023, Timothy reached viral success on TikTok for his song, “Oh My Goodness” that was actually released back in 2015, aided by the #Ohmygoodnesschallenge which many TikTokers took part in. With his recent move to Los Angeles (spring 2024), Timothy J. Wilson is truly just getting started.
