The 2024 Boston stop will begin at noon with spectators allowed to start securing their spots around the ICA Boston starting at 12pmEDT. Timing of the event is dictated by the Boston Harbor tides, ensuring the divers have at least 5m (15ft of water) to dive into.

In the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, 12 men and 12 women compete at every stop to earn maximum championship points with the hope to win the King Kahekili trophy. There are 8 men and 8 female permanent divers and four wildcards for each, totalling 24 divers with the chance to take the title. The platforms are at 27m (88.5ft) for the men and 21m (69ft) for the women. Each diver is judged by a panel of judges on their acrobatics and artistic moves during the dive.

Event site will be accessible via Northern Avenue with main entry points on Marina Park Drive and Harbor Shore Drive and the Fan Pier Boardwalk. Viewing is accessible along any point of the marina boardwalk surrounding the Fan Pier Marina.

Frequently asked questions

Is there parking onsite?

There will be no official event parking and we encourage spectators to use public transportation, ride share, bicycles and/or walking to get to and from the event. Ride share drop offs and pick-ups will be available on Northern Ave.

What if it rains?

The competition of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series can be held in sunny, rainy, and overcast conditions. In the case of wind and/or lightning at the time of the event, possible scenarios are delayed start of the event, break during the competition or a cancellation of the event.

Will there be water available?

Complementary water stations will be available at several locations throughout the event. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle.

Will there be food?

There wont be food available for purchase onsite. There are lots restaurant options within walking distance of the event.

Can I bring my boat, kayak or floatation device?

Boats and personal watercraft will not be permitted within the Fan Pier Marina for event viewing . The appropriate authorities will manage and monitor all Boston Harbor waterways outside of the Fan Pier Marina at their discretion.
