After 37 years, beloved local artist and activist Donald Gallagher is on the cusp of completing his visionary labor of love: the interior hand painted restoration of Grace Church Van Vorst, a community sanctuary in Jersey City. Come celebrate this momentous accomplishment on Friday, June 21, the Summer Solstice, from 8pm-11pm.

As you enjoy delightful bites and sip beverages from our donation/cash bar, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction featuring some of the original stencils used by Donald during the restoration process. These stencils hold immense historical significance, as they bear witness to the meticulous craftsmanship and unwavering dedication that went into bringing the historic structure back to its former glory.

You'll also be treated to a series of special performances that are sure to captivate and entertain. The highlight of the night will be the Summer Solstice Ritual, a unique and unforgettable experience. This extraordinary night will be an immersive celebration of art, activism, revelry, ritual, and dancing. Expect the unexpected!

All profits from this special evening will go directly to support Donald, enabling him to finalize this extraordinary project and share his inspiring story through the publication of a book. This celebration promises to be a transformative experience, honoring the indomitable spirit of an artist who has dedicated his life to creating a sanctuary for all.

Midsummer Tickets are $50. Includes admission to the soiree starting at 8pm, special performances, Summer Solstice Ritual, and light fare.

Renaissance Tickets priced at $200, offer an unforgettable experience. In addition to special performances and the Summer Solstice Ritual, these premium tickets include early entrance at 7pm, an intimate 20-minute private tour, a signature cocktail crafted by Donald himself, delectable passed hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, a commemorative t-shirt, and a limited edition 8x10 print of Donald painting in the church sanctuary in April 2016, taken by local artist and activist Tracey Luz.
