Join representatives from the Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi ‘it First Nation and the City of Fernie for a Reconciliation Walk on July 1, 2021.

The City of Fernie is inviting residents to celebrate Canada Day while appreciating the unique culture, heritage, and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people.The event starts at 9:45 am wtih the walk to start at 10:00 am.The two walks have been combined for one 10:00 am start. We will facilitate gathering at 9:45 following COVID-19 orders. We will open up additonal spaces for registration if COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed.Following COVID-19 restrictions, a limited number of spaces are available for the public to join Mayor and Council, and representatives and elders from the Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi ‘it First Nation for Reconciliation Walks on July 1, 2021.
