Britt Davis - Artist BiographyBrittany (Britt) Davis is an American dance artist, originally from Norfolk, Virginia and currently residing in Berlin, Germany. She is internationally recognized for her versatility as a choreographer, performer, and dance educator. Britt guides her career with an interest in dance performance, dance & filmmaking, dance photography, and arts in education.In 2015, Britt moved to Berlin, Germany to attend the Dance Intensive Program at TanzFabrik Berlin. During her time at TanzFabrik, she began performing as a guest with Berlin based choreographer, Chaim Gebber, in Chaim Gebber / Open Scene, and later toured with the company through Germany, Italy, China, and South Korea. During this time, she also began studying German, later achieving B1 sufficiency. Finally in late 2016, Britt was awarded a two-year visa to Freelance in Berlin as a dance artist. Since obtaining her visa, Britt regularly teaches at The Center Berlin in Prenzlauer Berg and at Berlin Brandenburg International School. She has also performed and choreographed with British/Norwegian dance artist Anna-Lise Marie Hearn and singer/songwriter VERA, creating “Layered” for the 2018 Performing Arts Festival Berlin. Most recently, Britt worked with other Berlin creatives for the MONAD performance at the Spirit of Dance Festival in Astana, Kazakhstan under the direction of choreographer Lena Kilchitskaya and musician Merlin Ettore.Before relocating to Berlin, Britt proudly earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield. In 2015, her dance film, “Eyes Wide Shut”, was featured in the Iron Factory Short Film Festival. Prior to her collegiate years, Britt danced under the direction of Deborah Thorpe at The Governor’s School for the Arts and with TRDance Center under the direction of Todd Rosenlieb in Norfolk, Virginia.Marie Kruttli - Artist BiographyMarie Kruttli was born in 1991. She started playing the piano at the age of six. After spending many years playing classical music, she discovered jazz as a genre that resonated more with her body and soul. Marie studied at the jazz music department of the University of Lausanne (HEMU) with Emil Spanyi, where she received her bachelor’s degree in 2012. She then completed her master’s degree studying with Hans Feigenwinter in Lucerne.In 2010, Marie started her own trio, performing original music she composed. The trio released its debut album “Kartapousse” in 2015. During the same year, Marie spent three months in New York City where she was immersed in the local, thriving jazz scene. She recorded an EP with notable New York musicians, which was released in October 2016. That same year, she won scholarships from the Friedlwald Foundation and from the Langnau Jazz Night piano competition. Marie and her trio also won the ZKB Jazz Preis 2016. The trio recently released it’s new album “Running After The Sun”, which they perform actively in Europe. Over the past few years, Marie has been playing with Gerry Hemingway,Tim Berne, Michael Abene, Matthieu Michel, Dominik Burkhalter, Alban Darche, Dejan Terzic, Samuel Blaser and young upcoming New York musicians like Jonathan Barber, Devin Starks, Linda Briceno and Francesco Geminiani among many others.Special Guest : Ekaterina KorolevaEkaterina Koroleva is a freelance Illustrator born in Russia and living in Berlin since 2010. She is known for her distinctive female portraits and silhouette, layered expressively with a mixture of organic pencil strokes against colourful ink washes. With a dedication to fashion illustration, Ekaterina has given her own bold yet elegant touch to femininity in the images she creates. She has collaborated with design agencies worldwide on various commissioned projects such as packaging designs, fashion editorials as well as advertising campaigns.

<H3>Recollect: An embodiment of the parallels between memory and experience through music and movement.</H3>
Memory is a direct reflection of experience. What we experience shapes how memory is imprinted in our minds, directly influencing the shaping of our mental images, perception, and judgement. 
From an early age, we are molded by our primings to be a certain way, think a certain way, say or not say certain words, go and not go certain places—thus giving us a certain vision of the world. Our experiences from adolescence to adulthood shift with the conscious breaking of this molded behavior. A series of rebellious breaks lead to monumental experiences, granting us freedom from the boundaries of our priming. 
In these original scores, we explore the juxtaposing familiarity of, and freedom from, our early adolescent priming, and the realities of how experience and memory interplay to influence the core of our beings. 
Feeling the pull for the world unknown. Feeling the pull for the comfort of the familiar. Tainted by curiosities. Discovering fresh air. Falling or flying, who knows? What goes up must come down and what goes around, comes around.
