    • What we'll do An intense two-day practicum, featuring commentary and open discussion where participants will progress from their PRIMARY CERTIFICATE level of Rational Emotive Behavior Theory of emotional disturbance and change to a SECONDARY LEVEL. It will be taught by two of the world's leading REBT practitioners, Terry London and Bryanna Tartt, LCSW. Strategies for identifying and challenging clients’ dysfunctional beliefs and constructing more adaptive beliefs, emotions and behavior will be a prime focus. REBT’s conceptualization of emotions and reducing some of the common errors that new REBT therapists make will also be covered. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their REBT skills in small groups and receive immediate feedback from 2 of the most experienced, certified REBT supervisors available anywhere.

    • What to bring - PROOF of your PRIMARY CERTIFICATE! We will not be able to help you on this one so we will need your certificate as evidence. Please notice and attend to this requirement early so that you do not get turned away if you show up without it.

    In addition, you will need a robust sense of humor, a high tolerance for marginal language (even though both facilitators channel Albert Ellis, Terry London has actually studied directly with him while he was alive), an open mind, and a desire to learn instead of emote.

    • Important to know This will be a hands-on practice-oriented session with emphasis on trying, making mistakes, and trying again. We have found that this is the most efficient manner of mastering REBT, by using it. For Illinois residents that qualify, there are 16 CEU's available from IODAPCA plus for those certified as LCP or LSW in the State of Illinois, there are also CE credits available through our PC and SW CE Sponsor Licenses. HOWEVER, although these CEU's will be granted though attendance and testing, but in order to receive the Seconday Certificate, you will be required to meet the high standards required otherwise you may only be grated the CEU's and not the certificate.

    • Nobody here is affiliated with, nor wants to be confused with, the Albert Ellis Institute! Please be sure that you know you're dealing with former, long-time students of Albert Ellis himself, and not with the institution that bears his name.
