Tim Spann is a Developer Advocate for StreamNative. He works with StreamNative Cloud, Apache Pulsar, Apache Flink, Flink SQL, Apache NiFi, MiniFi, Apache MXNet, TensorFlow, Apache Spark, Big Data, the IoT, machine learning, and deep learning. Tim has over a decade of experience with the IoT, big data, distributed computing, messaging, streaming technologies, and Java programming. Previously, he was a Principal DataFlow Field Engineer at Cloudera, a Senior Solutions Engineer at Hortonworks, a Senior Solutions Architect at AirisData, a Senior Field Engineer at Pivotal and a Team Leader at HPE. He blogs for DZone, where he is the Big Data Zone leader, and runs a popular meetup in Princeton on Big Data, Cloud, IoT, deep learning, streaming, NiFi, the blockchain, and Spark. Tim is a frequent speaker at conferences such as ApacheCon, DeveloperWeek, Pulsar Summit and many more. He holds a BS and MS in computer science.

He works directly with technology partners to help build integrations that enhance the value Starburst Enterprise brings to its customers. He is passionate about educating people on all of the amazing benefits Starburst and it’s integrations with other top-tier solutions can provide.

Stuart Tarmy

Stuart Tarmy is the Global Director of Financial Services Industry Solutions for Aerospike. He has over 25 years’ experience as a General Manager and head of sales, partnerships, and product management for leading global financial service technology, banking, brokerage, capital markets, artificial intelligence and regulatory compliance companies. Stuart has held executive roles with Fiserv, MasterCard, Bankers Trust, and McKinsey & Company. Stuart began his career as a design engineer at Texas Instruments developing AI/ML- based computing systems. Stuart holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University, and a Sc.B. with Honors in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Brown University.

Josh Seidel

Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect for Financial Services

Josh is responsible for working across Capital Markets, Banking/Payments and Data Providers delivering deep technical subject matter expertise for domain knowledge, architecture, and guided use-case development guiding pilots to production. Prior to Databricks, Josh spent years working at Investment Banks Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs and Consulting with GFT/Rule Financial and at NYSE Euronext/SIAC in trading technology and capital markets risk. Josh holds a M.S. in Financial Engineering with a focus on Computational Science and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
