CommonWealth Kitchen is Boston’s only nonprofit food business incubator and food manufacturing social enterprise. We help aspiring entrepreneurs start and build great food companies, with a  focus on people impacted by racial, social, and economic inequality. Currently 55+ food companies call CommonWealth Kitchen home, including food trucks, caterers, bakers, packaged food and drink companies.

Join us for the Ready To Start Program, an online event that will kickstart your journey towards success and personal growth in food!

This 4-week program targets potential CommonWealth Kitchen applicants and it is intended to equip food entrepreneurs with the basic knowledge they need to start a food business and become one of our members.Ready to Start is comprised by classes taught on four Wednesdays in a row, via Zoom by different instructors: 1. Market and Opportunity Analysis (Wednesday, September 4th @ 5:30-6:30 pm): Nick Schonberger, Entrepreneurship Programs, Commonwealth Kitchen.2 . Business Planning (Wednesday, September 11th @ 5:30-6:30 pm): Lu Valena, Business Plan Evangelist.3. Entity Formation (Wednesday, September 18th @ 5:30-6:30 pm):4..Budgeting for Your Food Business (Wednesday, September 25th @ 5:30-6:30 pm): Sherie Theriault, Director of Member Success, Commonwealth Kitchen. You will have to attend all four classes to get the Ready to Start certificate and be eligible to book a 1 hour meeting with our staff a few weeks after the program ends, to assist you with the preliminary stages of starting your food business and applying to CWK! You'll receive the Zoom link in the registration confirmation.
