No. This course is designed as a hands-on technical skills session and fulfills only the technical scope requirement for FEES. To be fully prepared to independently perform FEES in clinical practice, participants must also complete the required educational and/or interpretation coursework.

If you have not completed FEES or videostroboscopy training, please enroll in a reputable online or in-person course covering assessment and interpretation. Completion or current enrollment is required to fully benefit from this skills session.

Question 3

What should I wear to the skills lab?

Accepted Answer

Scrubs or other professional attire that allows for movement and is easily washable are recommended. Layering is encouraged, as room temperatures may fluctuate and tend to be cooler.

How will I participate in the scoping event?

Accepted Answer

Attendees are encouraged to participate in both the clinician and client roles to fully understand the skill. Volunteers will be available; however, attendees should be prepared to be scoped when feasible.
