Family Events

WITF family events connect families, educators, community partners and local businesses to engage in interactive learning experiences tailored for children aged 3-14! These events create a fun and memorable experience for all who attend!

Families who attend Ready, Set, Explore — Fall into Learning will enjoy hands-on pumpkin-powered STEM challenges and fall themed activities.Families and children can:<ul><li>Design and test a miniature candy corn catapult using engineering concepts</li></ul><ul><li>Guide “creepy crawler” Ozobots through a maze using coding basics</li></ul><ul><li>Make a splash with the science of buoyancy to see which autumnal objects sink or float</li></ul><ul><li>Explore how circuits work using fall-time fruits and veggies</li></ul><ul><li>Strike a pose with Pennon Education’s character, Tia Flora, with a choice of fall or spooky background</li></ul>Children who attend will receive a FREE copy of Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert. Teens will receive a FREE copy of The Pumpkin War by Cathleen Young. This event is perfect for families with children ages 3 – 14, but all ages are welcome!Rain date: Saturday, October 4,10am – 1pm
