The goal of this workshop is to raise awareness around Fresno&#x27;s literacy needs and community assets, connect and equip parents/volunteers, and invite new volunteers to be a part of the work!Breakouts will include:<ul><li>Reading Comprehension for all Ages</li><li>Letting Kids Run The Show</li><li>Making Reading Fun Again! Tips and Strategies for Literacy at Home</li><li>Understanding how Trauma Affects Literacy</li><li>Why Kids Do What They Do! (Child Development 101)</li></ul>Childcare and lunch included in the cost!Spanish translation also available.Food is provided by Tower Blendz.Breakfast: Oatmeal Bites / Avocado toastLunch either Rice Bowl or Chicken Wrap .Rice bowl (Vegan): White rice, spring mix, roasted veggies, hummus, avocado, sauce frizzleChicken wrap: Green mix, egg, chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, avocados w/ peanut sauce----------------Read Fresno is a literacy focused initiative of local community-based organizations and literacy advocates to work together to expand literacy initiatives in Fresno/Clovis.<ul><li>Care Fresno</li><li>Every Neighborhood Partnership (ENP)</li><li>Fresno Library</li><li>Fresno Unified School District (FUSD)</li><li>Hands On Central Cal - VISTA</li><li>Reading Heart</li><li>Tower Blendz / Reading Circle</li></ul>
