ReactJS Introduction Workshop
Join us for a single day in-depth workshop to learn how to build web applications with the popular JavaScript library React.
What will we learn?
At the end of the training you will be able to -
- Understand when and why to choose ReactJS to build your web application
- Use Webpack and Babel to write idomatic React in JavaScript ES2015 syntax
- Understand common features available in JavaScript ES2015 syntax
- Understand the ReactJS Lifecycle, JSX syntax, and the best practices and patterns
- Build a React application for searching and displaying IMDB Movies
- Store your React application on a Github Git repository
- Deploy your React application to Heroku
Target Student
This workshop is for anyone who currently knows some JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and would like to learn more about ReactJS and what makes it different from the technologies you are used to. The workshop curriculum assumes a basic knowledge of existing web development practices.
Trainers
The ReactJS Intro Workshop is taught by the Rincon Strategies development team, and the Tucson ReactJS Organizers. The training team has a expansive breadth of ReactJS knowledge and have built production React applications for clients such as Lucasfilm, Lionsgate Films, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and also multiple Open Source applications.
Workshop Package
In addition to the full day training, you will receive the following with your purchase-
- 1 x Digital Copy of the training syllabus
- 1 x Printed Copy of the training syllabus
- 1 x Video of all the training sessions
- All the Tucson ReactJS and JavaScript stickers you can handle
Is lunch provided?
Yes! A catered lunch will be provided by us, however you are free to go offsite during the lunch break.
What do we need to bring?
You will need to bring-
- A laptop or desktop computer with a Wifi connection
FAQs
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There are no ID requirements, however tickets will be checked at the door.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is free parking across the street at the NW corner of Stone and Franklin.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
You only need to bring a laptop or computer, and a good attitude for learning!

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
You can transfer your ticket to anyone you like.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You can use either your printed ticket, or your confirmation email.
What is the refund policy?
If you aren't satisified with your training experience, we will be happy to work with you on refunding the ticket price.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
No worries! However, once all 40 people have checked in, no more will be allowed.
