Re-Entry Simulation
Overview
Join Us for the 3rd Annual Rutherford County Re-Entry Simulation!
Did you know that approximately 97% of incarcerated individuals will eventually return to our communities? Understanding the challenges they face is key to helping them succeed after release.
On Thursday, February 12th, the Rutherford County Re-Entry Program will host two interactive Re-Entry Simulations:
- Morning Session: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Afternoon Session: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
During these simulations, participants will step into the shoes of someone reentering society after incarceration. You’ll navigate real-life challenges—such as finding housing, employment, and transportation—while managing the obstacles that can make reintegration so difficult.
Each session will conclude with a group discussion, offering time to reflect and share insights about the experience. Our goal is to spark meaningful conversations about the reentry process and highlight why the first 30 days after release are so critical to long-term success.
Have you participated in a simulation before and want to volunteer at one of the sessions? Select the volunteer ticket option—additional details will be provided soon.
