About this event

Join The National Center for Civil and Human Rights and WABE for an advanced screening of (Re) Defining History, a documentary chronicling one of the most heinous and racially charged acts of violence in our city's history, the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre. Following the screening, descendants of the families impacted by the massacre will participate in an honest and healing panel discussion. This in-person event will take place on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 6:30 PM at The Gathering Spot (384 Northyards Boulevard NW, Atlanta, GA 30313).

Join The Center and WABE as we (re)define history together. This event is a unique opportunity to broaden your knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of the past and transform how we approach race and equity in the future.

Mark your calendars and join us for an evening of film, discussion, and exploration. We look forward to seeing you there!
