Are your kids interested in mountain biking but unsure where to begin? Do they already mountain bike and are looking for a community to ride with? Come join us at Roundhouse Park in Raton with a shuttle ride over to Sugarite Canyon State Park for our Try-It-Out event! This event is open to all students entering grades 6-12th in the Fall of 2024, and adults interested in engaging with youth mountain biking, whether as coaches, volunteers, mentors, or sponsors. Our goal is to spread the joy of biking! Come learn bike skills, basic bike care, the fun of riding, and more about NICA in New Mexico. No prior biking experience is necessary - we welcome everyone!

Don't have a bike or helmet? No worries! We've got you covered. Just let us know during sign-up, and we'll make sure you have what you need to join in on the fun. Plus, after the ride, we'll enjoy some delicious lunch.

This program is offered through NM NICA, a youth development program dedicated to building strong bodies, minds, character, and community through cross-country mountain biking. To participate, sign up here, and complete the required waiver either online or at the event check-in. Remember to indicate "NA" if you're not currently on a NICA team, and specify the league as "New Mexico".

Come join the ride!
