Envision Charlotte (Innovation Barn)

Join us for a fun evening where we will unveil an exciting new project through the partnership of Envision Charlotte and the City of Charlotte that will launch our City into the Circular Economy.  This is an opportunity to learn more about the Circular Economy and how it can transform Charlotte into a more sustainable city while creating jobs and opportunities. In addition, you will be supporting this new initiative and have a great time doing it!
This event will give you a preview of how this “old barn’ will be transformed into the Innovation Barn and the impact it can have on all of us.
As part of the event we will host An Upcycle "Trashion" Show + Auction. The pieces for the night will be created by local designers who will compete for cash and bragging rights.  VIP's including several City Council members will model the wears.
Here’s how it works.
Designers will use discarded clothing items and transform them into couture clothing and accessories. Designs will be showcased and bid on by you. The designer of the piece that gets the highest bid wins the competition.
Chef Clark Barlow of Heirloom Restaurant will provide an amazing dinner.
VIP Models include Mayor Vi Lyles, Mayor Pro tem Julie Eiselt, Councilmembers - Braxton Winston, James Mitchell, Dimple Ajmera and Larken Egleston...more VIP's to be announced!
