Not sure writing is for you? Join Oban poet Kirsty Macdonald to discover some easy ways of working words together, inspired by the local woods. We'll work with our five senses to record our relationship with nature in words, and try our hand at shaping these words collectively. Participants are welcome to write in Gaelic and English.

We are excited to launch the schedule for our community arts project celebrating Oban as a woodland town! Come join us on our three spring-time woodland workshops with local artists, where we’ll be engaging our senses and inner creativity, together creating a written piece about our relationship with the rainforests. This will then be made into a short film, performed by and for our fellow Obanites!

All ages and writing abilities welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

This is made possible with Climate Action Network Funding.

** This will not be a strenuous walk but some sections will be unpaved and steep. If you are keen to attend but concerned about accessibility please get in touch, we are happy to adjust our route to suit peoples abilities and comfort levels.
