The Jefferson County Conservation District provides conservation programming to all residents of Jefferson County, Kentucky. Our mission is to conserve and assist in the development of all renewable natural resources within the district. In so doing, the district is authorized to undertake, sponsor, or participate in projects and activities which promote the conservation, development, maintenance and use of the land, water, trees and other natural resources of the district.

Louisville Grows

Rain Barrel WorkshopCome join us at 1pm on 3/16 for our Rain Barrel Workshop where you'll learn all about conserving water and sustainable practices! Louisville Grows is hosting their annual Spring Seeds &amp; Starts Sale, and we will be conducting workshops through out the day at their event!This hands-on event will teach you how to set up and maintain your own rain barrel. Our experts will guide you through the process from start to finish. Don't miss this opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment while having fun! Let's get our hands dirty and make a difference together! Participants will leave with a rainbarrel and installation kit upon completiton of the workshop. There is an additional workshop at 11am on 2/16 with a different eventbrite sign up!
