Head to Blades Town Hall on Saturday, March 19th for a FREE Rain Barrel Building Workshop! This year all supplies will be provided for participants -kits from DNREC and plastic barrels from Dogfish Head Brewery and Coca-Cola (like the blue one in the picture, although it may be white).
Learn how using a rain barrel can make things better for our waterways, our wildlife, and our wallets. Then it’s time for the hands on stuff! Grab a drill if you would like, or watch as your rain barrel is constructed by a DNREC representative. Hear a presentation about other ways you can help improve Delaware's waterways. 
You will leave this workshop with a free rain barrel! Participation limited to 15 and only one rain barrel per household please.  
This workshop is part of the Reclaim Our River Program (ROR) designed to bring more water quality oriented events, workshops and recreational opportunities to the Nanticoke Watershed. The program provides important information on techniques of reducing nutrient and sediment pollution and other ways to improve water quality. The series also promotes public access to waterways and provides recreational opportunities as a way to connect us to our waterways and inspire us all to make improvements.
If you plan on bringing others to help build your rain barrel or to hear the presentation, please register only once and email philip.miller@state.de.us to let us know how many people are in your group. Again, one rain barrel per household please, but feel free to bring whoever you would like!
