Aperçu

Join us for an insightful online, highly-interactive two-part series facilitated by National Coalition Building Institute.

Part One of a Two-Part Series:

Space is limited for this interactive and facilitated workshop, so sign up today!

Description:

What does it mean to be a "culturally-responsive" organization in this rapidly changing world, aka our "new reality"? And how well do our personal backgrounds and experiences reflect those of the places we work at?

Welcome to an insightful online, yet highly-interactive two-part series. In this first workshop, we'll assess where we and our member agencies are as our facilitators guide us through a series of activities designed to get us thinking in new ways. Coming up for part two (stay tuned for date and time) we'll look at implicit biases that may keep us from seeing a larger reality. You'll walk away with a greater sense of belonging and shared responsibility for creating thoughtful, welcoming workplaces.

Our facilitators Navlette James and Steve Jarose are from the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI). The non-profit's mission is to eliminate racism and all forms of oppression and discrimination. They believe people are more open to dialogue when they feel valued and appreciated, rather than being made to feel guilty. Creating safe spaces to take risks, listen, and learn is what they're good at—and what we're looking forward to! Please come ready to engage.

Facilitators:

Navlette James, Team Member, National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI)

Steve Jarose, Director, National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI)
