Empower Youth Network

A collaborative group that brings stakeholders supporting youth and families in the Valley together to combine efforts toward social change.

Racism harms us all. Snoqualmie Valley Community Network believes healthy families and communities help build healthy youth. The Racial Equity Collaborative emerged from the Key Leaders Summit Planning Committee as an actionable and coordinated step organizations, government, school districts, and community members in the Valley can take to create a better environment for everyone. A safer, more just, more peaceful environment for our youth, families and community.WHAT IS THE RACIAL EQUITY COLLABORATIVE?The RACIAL EQUITY COLLABORATIVE will place a priority on creating equitable processes to achieve equitable outcomes through a shared partnership with People of Color living and working in the Valley. The collaborative will use an adaptive leadership approach to build a culture that fosters relationships, trust and respect across participants.The RACIAL EQUITY COLLABORATIVE invites all stakeholders supporting youth and families in the Snoqualmie Valley to participate in the collaborative where we will: <ul><li>Examine the impact of racism in the systems that involve our children and youth. </li><li>Create a shared community vision to promoting a culture of racial equity in the Snoqualmie Valley. </li></ul>WHO IS INVITED?Snoqualmie Valley Community Network believes healthy families and communities help build healthy youth. Anyone working within the community, supporting families and youth should feel free to participate. Please share this invitation with others who may be interested in participating.The RACIAL EQUITY COLLABORATIVE will be coordinated and facilitated by Lisa Hart, Community Coordinator for the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network.The RACIAL EQUITY COLLABORATIVE will meet via Zoom.
